Who's the "Old Timer" on the Logo?
The Old Timer may have started out as a generic figure on a napkin in 1977, but over the years, he's come to symbolize the warmth, authenticity, and neighborly hospitality that continue to welcome guests today.
Where did we get our name?
People at early country stores often gathered around the cracker barrel; an actual barrel filled with crackers that was delivered to the stores, where neighbors exchanged stories, caught up on local happenings and welcomed anyone who pulled up a chair. We chose the name because those simple moments of connection still inspire how we serve our guests today.
